Group therapy is a gathering of people, often dealing with similar issues. Types of groups include: CBT groups, identifying and changing inaccurate or distorted thinking patterns, emotional responses, and behaviors;
Interpersonal groups, focusing on relationships and social interactions (anger, stress, grief, spiritual issues); DBT groups, improving skills to cope more effectively with intense emotions, addictive behaviors, trauma, and/or relationship struggles; Support groups, to provide a safe space for people to share their experiences, feelings, and challenges, and to receive support from others who can relate.
